Responsibilities of College Liaisons
College Liaisons are an important academic resource for ASPSA. As liaisons, Coordinators are responsible for keeping the staff current about academic, major or other changes within their assigned area. They also inform the staff about any events sponsored by their college that could benefit undergraduate students.

Responsibilities of College Liaisons
College Liaisons are an important academic resource for ASPSA. As liaisons, Coordinators are responsible for keeping the staff current about academic, major or other changes within their assigned area. They also inform the staff about any events sponsored by their college that could benefit undergraduate students. Liaisons assigned to college (s) and or campus departments will:
- Facilitate professional and timely communication with external units. Contact coordinators of advising or Associate Dean of assigned college(s) and arrange to be included in meetings and/or mailings, which provide information regarding academic advising.
- Be willing and able to represent ASPSA’s mission, philosophy and description of services to NCSU academic units.
- Employ multiple means of communication (electronic, by telephone, in writing and at scheduled departmental meetings) actively participate in regular communication with ASPSA staff on issues and information related to the assigned college.
- Each semester, email your liaison a list of the current student athletes in their specific college arranged by Advisor – this is a valuable resource for the college.
- Make contact prior to registration to get input/feedback about the guidelines we should share with our student athletes to make the process as smooth as possible – also inform them of the Priority Registration dates for student athletes
- Arrange periodic staff training through the Associate Director to keep the staff abreast of issues and opportunities within the assigned college/department
- Offer to present to the TA’s, new Faculty or advisors in your College about ASPSA. Invite some key individuals to breakfast or lunch at Case to see our facilities.
